This is precisely where Herrenknecht.Connected comes in. The platform consolidates all relevant information in one place and presents machine data clearly – almost in real time. Herrenknecht.Connected can also integrate other services such as spare parts management, energy consumption analysis and additional tools that can be flexibly adapted to the requirements of the respective jobsite. All project participants work with the same up-to-date database at all times – reliably and independent of location. This means deviations can be detected early and corrected quickly.

Tunnel boring machines operate under extreme conditions. Wear and tear is inevitable – making it all the more important to quickly and clearly identify and procure the necessary spare parts.
Spares.On is a free component of the customer portal available to all Herrenknecht customers. The solution significantly simplifies the entire procurement process: spare parts can be found directly via the machine’s BOMs or specifically via part numbers or a free text search.
Detailed drawings assist in the unambiguous identification of components. At the same time, user roles and ordering permissions can be clearly defined. This keeps the ordering process structured, transparent and efficient – without the need for additional consultations.
Maintenance requirements will be automatically identified and directly linked to the appropriate spare parts. In combination with Stock.On, availability will be checked and, if necessary, a purchase order recommendation immediately generated – resulting in shorter lead times and significantly less manual effort on the jobsite.
The result: shorter downtime, optimized processes and better operational planning. Spares.ON makes an important contribution to the further integration and optimization of the entire process chain.

Another crucial factor in tunnelling is geology. Every construction project comes with its own challenges – many of which only become apparent as the project progresses.
Geo.On helps identify these early and classify them correctly. Geological and geotechnical information is recorded centrally and directly linked to machine data. 1D and 2D geological models, as well as relevant parameters, can be clearly visualized and compared with current operational data.
Specialized dashboards help analyze machine parameters within a geological context and better understand differences between individual machines or sections. This provides project managers with a well-founded overview of current conditions during the advance.
In the future, Geo.On will increasingly enable data-driven predictions by using machine and borehole data for automated geological mapping. Supplementary sensor data will be integrated step by step to create the most precise and comprehensive picture of the subsurface possible. This lays the foundation for more informed decisions and further automation in tunnelling.
